WHAT IS NATIONAL PASSPORT

A passport is a travelling document, usually issued by the government of a particular nation, which certifies the true identity and nationality of its holder for the purpose of international travel. A Nigerian passport is a vital piece of document issued by the Nigerian Government to its citizen intending to travel outside the country.
For new passport application, the Nigerian Government now offers electronic passport known as e-passport. These passports come in hard bound copies and not soft copies and are classified as either Standard Nigerian passport or Official e-passport, depending on its intended use.
